I am having a bit of a confusion about how to deal with the subscription aspect of my blog site. I (finally) managed to make it so that you can subscribe to my blog and get updates sent to your email address when I add something. However, since the site is really made up of separate blog addresses, each page needs to be subscribed to separately for the notifications to be sent automatically. I did this in part to keep the topics separate rather than being one long intermingled bunch of postings, and partially so that you, the reader, could select which topics you might like to follow. However, it adds a level of complexity that might not be so great.
One solution might be to add a short note to my home page whenever I post something. For example, this morning I posted another story on "The Great Unknown" page. If I were to do this, then all you would need to do is subscribe to the home page. Of course, that would also violate my intent of only notifying you when something changed in a section that you are interested in.
Does anyone have an opinion about how this should be done? For the time being, I think I will try posting a short notification that I put something up somewhere. Thanks for you patience as I try to puzzle my way with this.
